Welcome! So glad you are here. My name is Jannick F. Hansen, co-founder of Manobiak ApS.
The company was founded by Martin Ø.Ø. Juul and myself in late 2019 after 6 months of meetings, cheese sandwiches, and gallons of coffee. The motivation for creating a company came from our inherent need to tackle real-world problems with the combination of measurement data and applied mathematics. We believed by providing a data-driven Machine Learning cloud platform we could help SMEs seeking to explore the value of their data with no clear idea of how the approach the problem. The exploration of the value of data we would offer for little or no cost and if present we would ask a fraction of the value/saving in return. So, with this vague strategy, and Martin as the main software architect, the development of a cloud based data platform was initiated.
After months of development the overall structure of the platform had been established. Then we wanted to produce some credibility for Manobiak as a data company and to showcase the potential of the platform (which we eventually named Manobiak Engine). So, we started working towards creating some application examples. As we both have a background within structural dynamics it seemed natural to develop a modal analysis branch for the platform. Although the market for this application is relatively small, it created a clear direction for development and presented the challenge of constructing a user-friendly workflow and implementing relatively advanced algorithms in the cloud. See the Manobiak Engine page for a detailed description and current status. In the development process we always strive to become vendor independent to save money and to avoid breaking changes.
In general, we are all about developing new algorithms, new ideas, and doing experimental work. Furthermore, we struggle to keep our noses out of research. See you on the other side.
Martin is originally a Physicist (MSc / Cand. Scient.) with 15 years experience as a programmer from embedded systems to cloud. He holds a Phd in structural dynamics and has teaching experience from mathematics, physics, programming and structural dynamics. He is an expert in applied mathematics, and cronically understimulated.
"Martin is a programming wizard and pretty close to a math genius." - Jannick F. Hansen
Jannick is an engineer (BEng and MScEng) with a Phd in structural dynamics. Jannick has extensive knowledge about sensors and experimental techniques in civil engineering. Jannick is currently an associate professor at the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Aarhus University teaching structural dynamics and mathmatics. For more than 10 years he has been employed as technical assessor for DANAK (the national accreditation body in Denmark).
"Jannick has spectacular communication skills, and a sobering take on big visions." - Martin Ø.Ø. Juul
